There are several factors to take into account any major engine repair. Those being the make/model/year of the car, and what service your car needs. Our team at GMW know what an expensive and stressful experience this can be, so we’ll always try our best to complete the work at competitive prices, while still focusing on delivering quality services.
This also depends on a variety of factors, and the service you are having completed. Timing belts and smaller jobs will usually take 1-2 days, while big jobs like transmission and engine replacement or rebuilds can be up to a week or 2 turnarounds depending on parts availability. The time it will take for the repair to be completed on your car depends on the availability of parts. If your car is a common vehicle, chances are parts will be easy to find, however if your car is a rare or older model, we may have to do some searching to source quality parts.
After we have thoroughly analysed your vehicle, looked into the parts we’ll need and provided a quote, we’ll discuss what the best course of action is for either repairing or replacing your vehicle’s engine. Our team of car mechanics will be able to take on any challenge that comes our way, but at the end of the day, it will be your decision on how to proceed with your vehicle.
